Merry Christmas!
December 25th, 2007 11:01 AM

Thank you for stopping by my site! Merry Christmas to you, whether strangers now or friends later.....I welcome you to browse around the site today, read the information on listings, real estate market and stats, staging your home, comparables and more...if you have a specific question and I didn't answer it here, just drop me an email and I will get right back to you. I promise you won't hear from me if you don't want to! January 2008 is time for you to apply for a Solano county property tax reduction if you feel the value of your home has changed, there is a narrow band of criteria that applies and you will need sold comparable information from Jan '07 to April '07 only, to send to Mark Tonnesson, so let me know so I can get the comparables for you. I also have blank forms for you on the homeowner exemption if you don't already take that, you might as well... Ask me for details on taking your current tax base with you if you are over 55, disabled, or a veteran. If you are moving in the confines of Solano county, from a larger property to a smaller one, YES, Virginia, you CAN take your property taxes with you! Your agent will guide you through the process as there are time frames, property values and notifications and forms to fill out. I am here to assist you all along the way in buying and selling your home.  -Barbara

"For your growing Solano family, Barbara Adams cares!"
This is my promise, but it applies too, when your family size does the opposite of growing too!

Vacaville vs Napa High Varsity Football
October 27th, 2007 8:25 PM

Friday night's breathtaking game was well attended by fans of both the Vacaville Bulldogs and Napa Indian teams. Napa missed the conversion on their first touchdown, this nearly cost them the game at one point, however Napa (7-1) continued to outpace the bulldogs. Vacaville (6-1) had a 96 yard scoring run early in the game. Both teams ranked undefeated until last night's game where Napa took the upper hand in a well played game taking Vacaville off the number 7 in the state position. School spirit was deafening from both sides and crowds roared in response to every play! Come cheer on the Bulldogs next game this Friday Nov 2nd.

(October 26, 2007: Vacaville, CA 95688) The Napa Indians football squad scored 55 points and restricted the host Vacaville Bulldogs to 28 in the Indians league victory on Friday.

Green Valley California What we are
September 2nd, 2007 8:31 PM

Green Valley California is a census designated place (CDP) located in Solano county just between the city of Fairfield and Cordelia (butterfly) which is officially an area of Fairfield. This CDP designation is reserved for small populations for statistical purposes that resemble incorporated areas.

The population was 1,859 in 735 households in the year 2000, that number is expected to explode in the year  2010 census as there has been an influx of people (to Green Valley California), homes and businesses even just since 2000.

The Green Valley area is quite wealthy, even exceeding San Francisco residents as the median family income in 2000 was $83,755

Green Valley Business Park Fairfield California
August 28th, 2007 7:20 AM

November 2006- Kaiser Permanente has plans to locate at Green Valley Corporate Park in Fairfield, Ca. . It has purchased a 9 acre property with plans to build a 130,000 SF medical facility. They plan to build in about 5 years, but purchased the land now to ensure a place in Fairfield.

Allowing for the number of current homes and housing starts and future plans for more residences in the Green Valley Ca. area, Kaiser wants to keep an eye on serving through location, their membership.

Retail, commercial and corporate eyes are all turning their attention to this key area located central to so many destinations such as being at the gateway to the Napa valley from the bay area and Contra Costa and Solano counties, Vallejo is close by as is Benicia and now that the new Benicia bridge has opened this last weekend, much more attention will be focused on this once bare land that is now turning into an upscale young urban professional work-play-live neighborhood.

Visitors to the local Costco from Berkeley stated to me that they are amazed at the short lines in this Costco, although from a standpoint that this was a weekday visit, this experience will not be the same on a weekend.

With the area becoming more accessible due to the new bridge at Benicia and the other recently opened new bridge in Vallejo and work done on the 80-680 interchange, many conceptual ideas such as the new work-live-shop area in the plans on Suisun Valley road makes this an even more enticing investment area!

The Joy of Eating Part Two Suisun City, California
June 2nd, 2007 11:42 AM

Well, don't look for Part one, it does not exist in this blog, what I refer to as Part 1 is the original Joy of Eating in Vallejo, California.

I first became aware of the Joy of Eating while I worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard as an electrician on submarines in the 1980's. I was introduced to this delectable eatery by one of my former coworkers.

It is mainly a breakfast place with a train theme at the Vallejo, California location, however it is open all day long at the new location in downtown Suisun City, California (hence, the Part 2 title of this article).

You can experience joy too, just by stopping in to either location and finding out why I was overjoyed to discover the new location in Suisun just yesterday. They opened just a couple weeks ago there. Of course, foremost I must tell you the bread is TO DIE FOR. So, if little else, go at any mealtime and just tell them you are there for the bread, they will understand and sit you right down to get your generous portion of this tasty homemade bread that is truly worthy of a "secret recipe" moniker.

Almost anything else plays second fiddle to the bread, but you are welcome to order any of the fine side dishes to the bread. I recomend to go at breakfast time, so you can get the bread toasted.... And because the roots of the original location being in good old "Valley-Joe", you must know that there are some deep Portuguese roots there and of course the Joy will serve you a good flavorful linguicia with your bread/toast and a cuppa Joe to wash it all down with. I plan to "blog the menu" in a future blog posting, keep your eyes peeled for it!

If you are from "Benisha", you will understand the importance of bringing some of the Benicia culture out toward Suisun, this is a fine place that has gone literally from rags to riches and is really proving that it would be interested in becoming the destination for eating in Northern Solano county, it is just about there now I would say that many a business meal has been had there already.

Our company has a unique new home subdivision just opened in Suisun, California at Grayhawk a few weeks ago and nearly sold out already! Just ask me about the buyer incentives there and the live-work residential/commercial aspects of these places, right there on the marsh, only approved buildings to be going into that area.
